Etsy Sales Feeling Slow? Here’s What I’d Do If I Had to Get 10 Sales in 10 Days

We’ve all been there.

One week you’re riding the Etsy sales high, the cha-ching notifications are rolling in, and you’re wondering if you should start a “My shop paid for this” highlight on Instagram.

The next week? Tumbleweeds.

You start refreshing your Etsy dashboard like it’s going to magically change the numbers if you glare at it hard enough.

Before you start panic-discounting everything in sight or listing a random knitted tea cosy you found in the back of a cupboard,  let’s slow down. If I had to get 10 sales in the next 10 days, here’s exactly what I’d do, no fluff, no fake urgency, and definitely no spammy “Hey hun, can you support my small biz?” messages to distant cousins.

Check your Etsy shop’s health (Day 1)

This is the part nobody wants to do, but trust me, if your shop isn’t set up to convert, no amount of marketing will fix it.

  • Are your photos scroll-stopping? If not, update your first listing photo for your 5 best-sellers today.

  • Is your Etsy SEO on point? Look at your titles and tags. Are you actually using keywords your ideal customer would type? (If you don’t know, it’s time to research ETSY DESCRIPTIONS THAT SELL BLOG is a good place to start.)

  • Do you have recent reviews? If your last review was from the Stone Age, focus on getting one ASAP.

Pro tip: Sometimes all it takes is tightening up your listing images and titles for Etsy to start pushing you higher in search.

Push your proven bestsellers (Days 1–10)

Don’t waste these 10 days trying to get sales on a brand-new listing. Focus on products that already convert.

  • Reorder your shop so best-sellers appear first.

  • Share social posts featuring your best-sellers every single day (yes, every day — remember, only 1–5% of your audience sees any given post).

  • Add urgency without sounding desperate: “This design has been flying out — I’ve got 2 left before the next restock.”

Turn your social media into a shop window (Days 2–10)

No more “Here’s my product” posts with a beige caption. Think: entertaining, relatable, and shareable.

Examples:

  • Show your product in use (“POV: You’ve just unboxed your new [product] and now you’re…”)

  • Behind the scenes (“The real reason your order smells amazing when it arrives…”)

  • Quick tips (“3 ways to style your [product] so it works all year”)

And yes, always link directly to your Etsy listing. None of that “link in bio” nonsense; make it easy for people to buy.

Tap into your warmest audience (Days 3–10)

These are people who already know you and like your work — they just need a nudge.

  • Email your past customers with a “back in stock” or “best-seller spotlight” email.

  • Share top reviews in your Instagram stories and tag the product link.

  • Offer a bonus instead of a discount, free gift wrapping, personalisation, or matching item.

If you don’t yet have a customer email list, building one is the first thing I’d tackle — I show you exactly how inside PROFIT BLUEPRINT LINK.

Boost your reach without ads (Days 4–10)

If your audience is small, borrow someone else’s.

  • Collaborate with another Etsy seller to create a bundle.

  • Ask customers to share their orders on Instagram and tag you (offer a giveaway entry for anyone who does this within the week).

  • Join 1–2 relevant Facebook groups and answer people’s questions without pitching — curious buyers will click through to your profile naturally.

You can find more marketing ideas like this in the Etsy Seller Handbook.

Track what’s working (Every day)

This isn’t just about making 10 sales, it’s about learning which levers to pull so you can repeat it any time you need. Keep a quick daily log:

  • Which posts got engagement?

  • Which listings got views?

  • Which offers got clicks?

The magic is in doubling down on what’s working this week, not waiting until next month.

Reality check (and why this works)

You might not hit 10 sales exactly every single time but these actions are all fast movers. They don’t rely on long-term SEO or praying to the algorithm gods. They get you in front of buyers now and give Etsy the “this shop is active & converting” signal, which in turn boosts your visibility for weeks afterwards.

If you’re ready to stop guessing and actually have a repeatable system for getting sales on demand, that’s exactly what I walk you through inside ETSY PROFIT BLUEPRINT the step-by-step strategy I’ve used to go from “occasional sale” to a shop that sells every single week (without ads or dancing on TikTok).

You can also use my ETSY QUIZ to uncover the keywords you’re missing right now.
